The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America is pleased to offer an amazing scholarship opportunity. Applicants must submit an essay and an application form by November 25, 2014 to be eligible for the award.
Essay:
The 2015 Essay Topic is: "How have the values and ideas of America's Colonial past made possible our country's present?" Essay length must not exceed 750 words.
Scholarship prize:
Winners will receive a scholarship to attend the week-long Congressional Seminar Workshop planned and coordinated by The Washington Workshops Foundation and held in Washignton, DC, June 20-26, 2015. The seminar is a unique experience in the study of American national government with emphasis on the concerns and activities fo the United States Congress.
Value:
This scholarship is valued at approximately $1500, which covers these expenses: application fee, tuition, seminar materials, local transportation (for seminar activities), college dorm room (double occupancy), bedding, linens, and two meals daily (breakfast and dinner) at a university campus in the DC area. The South Carolina Society porvides some funds toward travel / miscellaneous expenses.

The South Carolina Association of Educational Office Professionals (SCAEOP) is offering a scholarship to a graduating high school senior with an average GPA of a "C" or better who is planning to enter a post high school, accredited instution next fall. Applicants must submit an application form, write a one-page biographical skecth on "Why I am Choosing a Career in Business," and secure 3 letters of recommendation and their high school transcript.
