Westwood will be starting a media campaign to let the community know more about our iRED magnet program. A professional public relations firm will be preparing mailings, brochures, commercials, and billboards that you will see in the next few months. We are seeking parents, students, and community members who would be willing to give us a quote or brief interview about how the research, engagement, and design-based learning at Westwood are positively impacting our students and community. We will be using photos and video from a variety of school activities. If any parent has concerns about their child appearing in any of the media products, please notify Dr. Guy (691-4049, x36116 or [email protected]) immediately to opt out of the media campaign. Westwood’s iRED magnet program is a whole-school magnet, open to any high school student residing in Richland School District Two. On-line applications for students who live outside of the Westwood attendance zone will be available on the Richland District Two website in the month of January. The iRED program is funded by a federal magnet assistance grant.
